HUBZONE – United States Small Business Administration

The HUBZone program is a United States Small Business Administration (SBA) program for small companies that operate and employ people in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones). The HUBZone program was created in response to the HUBZone Empowerment Act created by the US Congress in 1998.

The HUBZone program is unique because it guides Federal contract dollars to small businesses located in areas of high unemployment and low-income to stimulate economic development. This program provides growth by taking individuals within these areas off local, state and federal welfare programs, individuals within these areas off local, state and federal welfare programs, providing them with quality jobs and promoting long-term local investment, thereby improving the economic climate. By using Federal procurement dollars to provide economic development, the HUBZone Program produces revenue that offers Federal assistance to distressed communities with the need of the Federal Government to acquire products and services at reasonable rate.

Ahieros is striving to make a positive in􀂢uence on distressed communities throughout the United States. Ahieros has concentrated signi􀂡cant investment participating in the HUBZone Program. This includes partnering with local, state and federal agencies for creation of direct community initiatives aimed at revitalizing distressed communities with the bene􀂡ts of market-based economic development. An objective of Ahieros is to raise economic status of HUBZone employees and our local community by providing employment opportunities and training initiatives to the underserved citizens of Knoxville, the surrounding rural counties, and other areas within the United States to help improve quality of life.

Ahieros has undergo and successfully completed the rigidities of the HUBZone Program certi􀂡cation process. A key differentiator of Ahieros is that it is the only HUBZone Certi􀂡ed IT & Management Consulting company in the East Tennessee area and one of only two within state of Tennessee (per NAICS codes 541512 – Computer Systems Design Services, 541611 - Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services and several other NAICS per the US SBA Dynamic Small Business System (DSBS) search via SAM database).
